DIDYMOS Yacht Description

  • Jacuzzi on deck:
Sunset soaks and post-swim relaxation with wide Mediterranean views from the deck.
  • Towable tube, wakeboard & adult waterskis:
Easy, high-energy days on the water straight from the tender.
  • Sea scooters:
Explore coves and snorkel spots with extra range and less effort.

Jacuzzi, on a cat. DIDYMOS is a 55ft sailing catamaran built in 2019, and she manages to tick the big “day on the water” box with a deck jacuzzi and an easy swim platform for quick dips and even quicker towel recovery.

Sleeps 10 in five. The layout is straightforward and charter-friendly: one primary cabin, three doubles, and one twin, all with en-suite bathrooms. No one is drawing the short straw. Except maybe the early riser.

Bright, social interiors. The open-plan salon and large windows keep the inside space useful between swims, with air conditioning, Wi‑Fi, and satellite TV throughout the salon and all cabins when you want to power down or stream something you will not admit to watching.

Toys that get used. For active groups, DIDYMOS carries adult water skis, a wakeboard, a towable tube, paddleboards, and snorkelling gear, plus an 11ft/3.5m RIB tender with a 20hp outboard for shuttles to and from the water.

Accommodation

Didymos is a luxury cruising catamaran for charter, manufactured by Catana Group Shipyard under their Bali brand. Catana Group is a well-known French boatbuilder renowned for its high-performance multihulls. The Bali 5.4 is one of their flagship models, offering a spacious and innovative design for comfortable cruising.

Didymos boasts a modern and sleek design, characterized by clean lines and an emphasis on open living spaces. It has a distinctive forward cockpit, which provides an additional lounging and relaxation area separate from the main aft cockpit.

The Bali 5.4 catamaran has an exact length overall (LOA) of 16.80 metres (54 feet) and a beam of 8.74 metres (28 feet). The boat’s draft, which represents the distance from the waterline to the deepest part of the hull, typically ranges from 1.45 to 1.55 metres (4.8 to 5.1 feet). The hull and deck of the Bali 5.4 are constructed using a combination of fibreglass and composite materials. These materials provide strength, durability, and weight savings for improved performance.

The layout includes five cabins, accommodating up to 10 guests comfortably. The cabins are well-appointed and offer excellent privacy for guests.

One of the standout features of Didymos is its forward cockpit, accessible from the saloon. This area includes seating, sunbeds, and a table, creating a fantastic space for socializing, enjoying meals, or simply taking in the views while underway or at anchor.

The aft cockpit is a spacious area located at the same level as the saloon, creating a seamless flow between indoor and outdoor spaces. It provides a comfortable dining area and offers easy access to the swim platforms, which serves as a convenient boarding area for water activities.

The saloon of Didymos is designed to maximize natural light and ventilation. Large panoramic windows and sliding doors create an open and airy atmosphere. The saloon typically includes a dining table, seating area, and a well-equipped galley, making it a central gathering space onboard.

Didymos features a flybridge, which is an elevated deck area above the main cockpit. The flybridge provides additional seating, sun loungers, and a jacuzzi, offering a panoramic view of the surroundings.

While the Bali 5.4 prioritizes comfort and spaciousness, it also delivers good performance under sail. Its efficient hull design and rigging enable smooth and stable sailing, making it suitable for long-distance cruising and exploring various destinations.

The Bali 5.4 incorporates several innovative features. For instance, it features a unique tilting door system that connects the saloon and aft cockpit, allowing for a large open space when fully opened. Additionally, the forward cockpit can be closed off with a retractable bimini, providing weather protection and versatility.

The Bali 5.4 catamaran is designed to offer a luxurious and comfortable sailing experience, combining modern design, spaciousness, and performance for those seeking a high-end cruising vessel.

Bali interior layout hosts up to 10 guests in 4 double bedded cabins with ensuite bathroom and 1 twin cabin with bathroom.

Huge salon with open space galley, exceptionally well equipped. Hydraulic opening of the aft part of the salon, connecting the salon with the cockpit.

Price Terms

Plus Expenses - add APA to the price you see

Plus Expenses arrangement includes the boat and crew only (without tip).

All additional/variable expenses such as Gas and Food are deducted from an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA) - an additional deposit that is added on top of the charter price.

The expenses, such as provisioning, fuel, marina fees, are deducted from the APA. The APA is based on the price of the yacht and ranges from 15% (crewed sailing yachts) to 30% (motor yachts with higher fuel consumption).

For a yacht like DIDYMOS, the expected APA is not defined for this type of yacht. Exact amount will be confirmed after inquiry.

You can actively control these expenses in your preference sheet (local vs. imported beverages) and by choice of itinerary (distances traveled).

The remainder of the APA is returned after charter.
