A Baglietto yacht charter in Italy costs about €250,000 a week in high season for the typical yacht, plus expenses and VAT. Across the 19 Bagliettos in our catalogue that cruise Italy, half fall between €150,000 and €289,000 a week.
Most are 130 to 164 feet, for ten to twelve guests, and the one we have profiled on this page, SUI GENERIS, lists at €225,000 to €250,000.
Baglietto is one of the oldest shipyards in Italy, founded in 1854 and building today at La Spezia. Its charter fleet is young, and most of the Bagliettos we book were launched in 2014 or later.
Who builds Baglietto yachts, and what makes one different?
Baglietto was founded in 1854 at Varazze on the Ligurian coast and moved to La Spezia, where it builds steel and aluminium superyachts today. Its yachts start at about 40 metres, such as the DOM133.
Across the 80 Baglietto motor yachts on our books, the typical yacht takes ten to twelve guests in five cabins. That makes a Baglietto a size up from most Sanlorenzos and Rivas, at a similar length to a Benetti.

About €250,000 a week in high season for the typical Baglietto cruising Italy, before expenses and VAT. Half of the 19 in our catalogue fall between €150,000 and €289,000, and newer yachts sit at the top of that range.

The rate is for the yacht and crew only. Add about 30% for the Advance Provisioning Allowance, which pays for fuel, food, drinks and berths, and 22% Italian VAT on the charter fee.
A €250,000 week therefore budgets at about €380,000 before gratuity. Our Italy yacht charter cost guide walks through every line, and the Italian charter VAT page explains what the 22% applies to.

What is included in a Baglietto charter rate, and what is extra?
Every yacht on this page charters on plus-expenses terms:
- Included: the yacht, her crew of eight or more, insurance and the water toys she carries.
- APA, about 30%: fuel, food, drinks and marina berths, paid up front and accounted for by the captain. Whatever you do not spend comes back to you.
- VAT, 22%: charged on the charter fee for a week that starts in Italy. It is not charged on the APA.
- Gratuity: at your discretion. In the Mediterranean it usually falls between 5 and 15% of the charter fee.
Berths are the line to plan on a yacht of this size. Our page on marina versus anchor nights covers what to reserve in Capri and Porto Cervo, and how the APA works in Italy covers the rest.
When should you book a Baglietto for Italy?
For July and August, book nine to twelve months ahead. The newest yachts, such as SUI GENERIS, are the first to go.
June and September list lower and are easier to find. Our guide to the best time for an Italy yacht charter compares the months region by region.
Is a Baglietto the right yacht, or should you look at another Italian yard?
Choose a Baglietto for a young superyacht of 130 to 165 feet. For a wider choice at similar sizes, see our Benetti yacht charter guide and our CRN yacht charter guide.
For smaller and lower-priced yachts, our Sanlorenzo yacht charter guide starts at 80 feet. Every motor yacht we list for Italy is on our Italy motor yacht charter page.
