A Benetti yacht charter in Italy costs €129,000 to €265,000 a week in high season, plus expenses and VAT. That is a superyacht of 120 to 164 feet for ten to twelve guests, with seven to eleven crew.
Four Benetti superyachts on our books cruise Italy in summer. Each is listed below with her high-season weekly rate:
- AURA: 120 ft, 10 guests, 7 crew, €129,000
- ALLURIA: 121 ft, 10 guests, 7 crew, €175,000
- GRANDE AMORE: 145 ft, 12 guests, 9 crew, €189,000
- BOMBAY: 164 ft, 10 guests, 11 crew, €265,000
Who builds Benetti yachts, and why charter one in Italy?
Benetti is a Tuscan shipyard founded in Viareggio in 1873, and it builds today at Viareggio and Livorno. It is one of the oldest superyacht builders still at work, and its smallest models are about 30 metres long.
A Benetti is the choice when the week is about space and service more than speed. You get full-displacement comfort at 12 to 14 knots, a crew of seven or more, and a pool or jacuzzi on deck on all four yachts here.
How much does a Benetti cost to charter in Italy per week?
€129,000 to €265,000 a week in high season for a Benetti of 120 to 164 feet, before expenses and VAT. Outside high season the same yachts list about 10 to 15% lower.
| Yacht | Length | Built | Guests | Crew | Low season | High season |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| AURA | 120 ft | 2006, refit 2018 | 10 | 7 | €115,000 | €129,000 |
| ALLURIA | 121 ft | 2023 | 10 | 7 | €160,000 | €175,000 |
| GRANDE AMORE | 145 ft | 2006, refit 2020 | 12 | 9 | €160,000 | €189,000 |
| BOMBAY | 164 ft | 2016, refit 2023 | 10 | 11 | €230,000 | €265,000 |
The rate is for the yacht and crew only. Add about 30% for the Advance Provisioning Allowance, which pays for fuel, food, drinks and berths, and 22% Italian VAT on the charter fee.
A €175,000 week therefore budgets at about €266,000 before gratuity. Our Italy yacht charter cost guide walks through every line, and the Italian charter VAT page explains what the 22% applies to.
Which Benetti suits ten guests at 120 feet?
AURA is the lowest-priced of the four at €115,000 to €129,000 a week. She has her master suite on the main deck, a sun deck jacuzzi and stabilisers that work at anchor, for ten guests in five cabins.
ALLURIA is the newest, a 2023 build of 121 feet based in Monaco at €160,000 to €175,000 a week. She has a pool on the foredeck, a beach club with a retractable shade and two jet skis.
The two are the same size and take the same ten guests, so the choice is age against price. ALLURIA costs about a third more for a yacht seventeen years newer.
Which Benetti takes twelve guests, and which is the largest?
GRANDE AMORE is the one that takes twelve, in six cabins with nine crew, at €160,000 to €189,000 a week. A lift links three of her decks and her layout is wheelchair-friendly, which is rare on a charter yacht of any size.
BOMBAY is the largest at 164 feet, with eleven crew for ten guests at €230,000 to €265,000 a week. She has a beach club, a deck jacuzzi, two jet skis and Starlink, and she was refitted in 2023.
Where does a Benetti charter in Italy start?
A yacht of this size goes where the charter is, but her home port decides the delivery cost:
- From the Riviera: ALLURIA is based in Monaco and BOMBAY moves between France and Italy. Both reach Portofino, Corsica and Sardinia in a day’s cruise.
- Western Mediterranean: AURA works the whole coast from the Riviera to Sicily, so ask us where she is for your week.
- From Greece: GRANDE AMORE is based in Athens and lists Italy among her cruising areas, so a delivery fee applies for an Italian start.
A week that starts in France and runs to Sardinia can sometimes be written on a contract that changes the VAT. Our page on the ECPY VAT advantage explains who qualifies, and where to start an Italy yacht charter compares the embarkation ports.
What is included in a Benetti charter rate, and what is extra?
All four charter on plus-expenses terms:
- Included: the yacht, her crew of seven to eleven, insurance and the water toys she carries.
- APA, about 30%: fuel, food, drinks and marina berths, paid up front and accounted for by the captain. Whatever you do not spend comes back to you.
- VAT, 22%: charged on the charter fee for a week that starts in Italy. It is not charged on the APA.
- Gratuity: at your discretion. In the Mediterranean it usually falls between 5 and 15% of the charter fee.
Berths are the line to plan on a yacht this long. Our page on marina versus anchor nights covers what to reserve in Capri and Porto Cervo, and how the APA works in Italy covers the rest.
When should you book a Benetti for Italy?
For July and August, book nine to twelve months ahead. There are only four, each is different, and the large berths in Capri and Porto Cervo are reserved early too.
June and September list lower on all four. Our guide to the best time for an Italy yacht charter compares the months region by region.
Is a Benetti the right yacht, or should you look at another Italian yard?
Choose a Benetti for volume, a large crew and a calm ride. If you want a newer yacht of 80 to 117 feet at a lower rate, our Sanlorenzo yacht charter guide covers eight of them.
If you want speed and a sportier look, see our Riva yacht charter guide. For yachts beyond 164 feet, the best superyachts in Italy and mega yachts in Italy lists go up from here.
