Perini Navi Yacht Charter in Italy: The 4 Perini Sailing Yachts You Can Charter, Ranked by Size (2026)

Last updated: September 2026

Perini Navi is a shipyard in Viareggio, on the Tuscan coast, founded in 1983 by Fabio Perini. It made its name with large sailing yachts and pioneered their automation and furling systems. We list six Perini Navi sailing yachts on this site, and four of them name Italy or Sardinia as a summer cruising area and are based or cruising in Italian and western Mediterranean waters. This page counts down those four, from #4, the smallest, up to #1, the biggest, ranked by the length on each yacht’s listing.

Every length, guest count and rate below comes from the yacht’s current listing, and every rate is the weekly charter fee before running expenses; where a listing’s high season carries 2026 dates, that season is over, and we confirm 2027 rates when we quote. The four run from 82 to 174 feet, and from €24,000 to €215,000 per week.

What Makes a Perini Navi

The yard’s automation and furling systems are what set a Perini apart, and the ships it built are among the largest sailing yachts in the world. The 88 metre Maltese Falcon, completed in 2006 with three free-standing rotating carbon masts, is a Perini hull; she is not on our list.

The yard is now part of The Italian Sea Group. The four yachts below were all built between 1989 and 2001, and each has been refitted since.

4. MALIZIA

“A Perini for Seven, from Sicily”

MALIZIA is an 82 foot (25 m) Perini Navi built in 1989 and refitted in 2021 and 2022, the smallest of the four. She sleeps 7 guests in three en-suite cabins, including a master with a king bed, with a crew of 3. Her cockpit has an awning for long lunches, and the air conditioning was updated in 2022.

Her base is Sicily and she cruises Italy, the French Riviera and Sardinia. A Williams Turbojet tender pulls the wakeboard and water skis, and the toys run to three paddleboards, two windsurfers, an inflatable kayak, two seascooters and floating mats. She is listed from €24,000 to €32,000 per week depending on season, plus a 35 percent APA and VAT, and we confirm current rates when we quote. She suits a family or group of up to 7 who want a sailing yacht with plenty of toys at a lower weekly fee.

3. HERITAGE M

“Scuba Kit for Certified Divers”

HERITAGE M is a 109.91 foot (33.5 m) Perini Navi built in 2000 and refitted recently. She sleeps 8 guests in three en-suite cabins: a master suite and two twin cabins that each have an upper bunk for a child, so she suits a family best. A crew of 4 runs her, and the cockpit has its own TV.

Her listing includes dive kit on board, available on request for guests with a PADI licence. A 5.35 metre Predator tender tows the water skis and inflatables, and there are paddleboards, a kayak and fishing gear. She cruises Italy, the French Riviera and Sardinia. She is listed from €45,000 to €58,000 per week depending on season, plus expenses.

ELLEN is a 40.4 metre (132.55 foot) Perini Navi built in 2001 and refitted in 2024. She sleeps 9 guests in four cabins, a king, a queen and two twins plus a Pullman berth, with a crew of 5. She cruises Italy, the French Riviera and Sardinia.

In our video interview, her captain calls her a yacht with soul, made for people who are not in a rush. She suits an active group, and her toy list shows it: three adult water skis, two wakeboards, two kneeboards, four paddleboards, two kayaks and Jobe floating islands. Rates run from €75,000 per week, up to €85,000 per week from mid-June to mid-September, plus expenses; her listing shows the same rates for 2027.

A staircase leads down to the lazarette, which holds the gym and opens onto a teak swim platform with a shower, and there is a Kaleidescape film library of over 300 movies. Her base is La Spezia and she cruises Italy, the French Riviera and Sardinia. Two More Perinis, Based in Greece

BARACUDA VALLETTA, a 164 foot Perini Navi from 2009, and TAMARITA, a 152.56 foot Perini Navi from 1991, are also on this site. Both are based in Greece according to their listings, so they are not in the countdown. Ask us about them if an eastern Mediterranean week suits you.

What a Perini Navi Charter in Italy Costs

The four list from €24,000 per week (MALIZIA) to €215,000 per week (JASALI II in summer).

Those are charter fees only. Fuel, food and marina fees are deducted from an advance provisioning allowance (APA), an additional deposit added to the charter fee, and the remainder is returned after the charter. JASALI II’s listing states a 30 percent APA plus VAT and MALIZIA’s 35 percent plus VAT; ELLEN and HERITAGE M list APA without a percentage, and we confirm it with any VAT when we quote. On JASALI II, for example, the €215,000 per week summer rate plus her 30 percent APA comes to €279,500 per week, before VAT; the APA is a deposit, and what is not spent comes back to you. A crew tip is at your discretion. Our guides to APA on an Italy charter and VAT on an Italy charter explain both, and what a yacht charter in Italy costs walks through the full bill.

Which Perini for Which Group

For divers, HERITAGE M lists dive kit on board. For an active group, ELLEN and MALIZIA both list plenty of water toys. For a smaller party who want a sailing week at a lower weekly fee, MALIZIA; for 10 guests, JASALI II. JASALI II is based at La Spezia and MALIZIA in Sicily, HERITAGE M’s and ELLEN’s listings give no base port, so tell us where you want to start. Our Sicily and Aeolian Islands itinerary and Sardinia or the Amalfi Coast guide show how a week can run.

Tell us your dates, where in Italy you want to sail and how many guests, and we will check which of these four Perinis is free that week and send you the brochures.
