Pershing builds some of the fastest charter yachts on the Italian coast. A Pershing turns a day from the Costa Smeralda to Corsica and back into a lunch trip.
Who builds Pershing yachts, and what makes one different?
Pershing is the performance brand of the Ferretti Group, built at Mondolfo on the Adriatic coast. Its open yachts are long and low, with the helm and the sun deck on one level and speeds above 40 knots.
Across the 94 Pershing motor yachts on our books, the typical yacht takes eight guests in four cabins. The trade-off for the speed is a lower interior than a flybridge yacht of the same length.

The rate is for the yacht and crew only. Add about 30% for the Advance Provisioning Allowance, and budget the top of that range on a Pershing, because fuel at 40 knots is the largest line.
Italian VAT of 22% is added to the charter fee for a week that starts in Italy. Our Italy yacht charter cost guide walks through every line, and the Italian charter VAT page explains what the 22% applies to.

What is included in a Pershing charter rate, and what is extra?
Every yacht on this page charters on plus-expenses terms:
- Included: the yacht, her crew of three or four, insurance and the water toys she carries.
- APA, about 30%: fuel, food, drinks and marina berths, paid up front and accounted for by the captain. Whatever you do not spend comes back to you.
- VAT, 22%: charged on the charter fee for a week that starts in Italy. It is not charged on the APA.
- Gratuity: at your discretion. In the Mediterranean it usually falls between 5 and 15% of the charter fee.
Our page on how the APA works in Italy shows how speed changes the fuel bill, and the one on marina versus anchor nights covers berths in Porto Cervo.
When should you book a Pershing for Italy?
For July and August, book four to six months ahead. August in Porto Cervo fills earliest, berths included.
June and September list lower and the water is calmer for fast passages. Our guide to the best time for an Italy yacht charter compares the months region by region.
Is a Pershing the right yacht, or should you look at another Italian yard?
Choose a Pershing for speed and an open deck. For the same idea from another yard, see our Mangusta guide, and for more interior space at a similar size, our Ferretti and Azimut guides.
For a larger fast yacht, our Riva guide covers the 100 foot Rivas. Every motor yacht we list for Italy is on our Italy motor yacht charter page.
