Location
Casamicciola is the second largest harbour on the island of Ischia and lies approximately 19 miles from the city of Naples in the beautiful Tyrrhenian Sea. A small municipality on the northern coast of Ischia, it is a popular destination for visitors and known for its historic thermal spas. It also features two main beaches, Spiaggia della Marina and Bagnitiello that are well suited to families and offer a relaxing setting.

Casamicciola is often preferred by visitors to the much busier and hectic environment in Porto d’Ischia only 1 ½ miles W. When approaching from the E, care should be taken to avoid the shoal waters off Punta della Scrofa. Another dangerous spot is the Scoglio del Sanctuario reef when approaching from the W. Reef is often marked with yellow buoys even though they might not always be visible. Depths range from 5-6m. Capacity is more than enough with 100 available berths and a maximum length of 80 metres. Yachts can go stern or bows to on the pontoons. This anchorage offers excellent shelter with only strong N winds causing some discomfort at times. The E side of the breakwater is usually the better option for yachts drawing more than 1·6, 1·7 metres. Water and electricity are available near most berths. You will also find toilets and showers. Inside the port of Casamicciola, you will also find Marina “Cala Degli Aragonesi” the first and only private tourist port on the island. It is a modern and well-equipped area with all facilities visitors will need. It offers 180 berths with a maximum length of 2 meters.
Provisioning
Yacht charters will find a small selection of restaurants around the area. Supermarkets and other shops are also available a short distance. ATM and rental services are also available. If you prefer you may also walk to Porto d’Ischia that is only a 35-minute walk. A 10T fixed crane is also available for some mechanical repairs.

Capacity and Technical Data
Due to the earthquake of 1883 that flattened most of the town, the buildings around Casamicciola are on the new side. Most of the tourists that flock here enjoy therapeutic treatments and are after a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The rates here during the peak summer season can be quite high similar to other yachting destinations in the area.
